Bristol artist J.West studied Animation at the University of West England and Bournemouth. Working in Bristol zoo after graduation introduced a love for exotic and endangered animals. The colours and natural patterns enticed him to begin painting and shortly after was asked to headline the ‘Into the Wild’ art exhibition at 123 Space in Stokes Croft.
J. West is a resident artist at Hamilton house studios where he continues to innovate his impressionist style and develop as an artist. Working predominantly with acrylic on canvas and his digital illustrations the subject matter tends to be linked with nature and wildlife, often with a vibrant and comical approach.
