Jim Steele
Jims early art & design career was born in the inspiring landscapes of North Wales & Snowdonia. Once trained up in the North Wales School of Art, Wrexham, his work evolved and built up a body of work for over 20 years in the discipline of dip pen drawing with watercolour layers. Inspired by Alan Lee, Moebius, Chris Riddell, Frank Miller, Arthur Rackham, Katsushika Hokusai, Utagawa Hiroshige and William Blake, Jims ideas have elements of ancient mythology, science fiction, and natural forces.

On every sheet, he wants to tell a story. He now also teaches in a growing artspace in Chepstow, and hopes to not only provide confidence to students, but also a sense of own-agency, control, and therapy through exploration of the medium.
